Anna Karina was a Danish-French actress and singer who became one of the defining faces of the French New Wave. She starred in numerous films by Jean-Luc Godard, to whom she was married from 1961 to 1967. Her performance in Une femme est une femme (1961) earned her the Silver Bear for Best Actress at the Berlin Film Festival.
