Alice Armstrong (UK) & The Bladderstones (CZ)
British blues-rock vocalist Alice Armstrong, winner of the 2024 Contemporary Blues Artist of the Year award, returns to Znojmo with Czech band The Bladderstones.
Alice Armstrong is a singer-songwriter from Surrey, UK, whose music sits at the crossroads of blues, soul, funk and rock. In April 2025 she won the European Blues Challenge in Split, Croatia - the first UK winner since 2019 - beating acts from over twenty countries. She has taken the UK Blues Awards Contemporary Artist of the Year title back-to-back in 2024 and 2025, and her EP Fury & Euphoria topped 100,000 streams within its first month of release.
Armstrong performed at the Playing with Fire festival in Omaha (Nebraska, USA) - one of her first American performances after winning the European Blues Challenge.
The EP Fury & Euphoria (7 tracks) was released, the second part of a planned EP trilogy, which exceeded 100 thousand streams in the first month.
Armstrong and her band won the 13th edition of the European Blues Challenge in Split, Croatia, and became the first British winners since 2019.
At the UK Blues Awards 2025, Armstrong received the title of Contemporary Artist of the Year for the second consecutive time; at the ceremony, she also presented the award for Blues Instrumentalist of the Year.
Armstrong performed live on BBC Radio 2 at the Maida Vale studios and was welcomed on air for the second time by presenter Cerys Matthews.
