Alfonso Bedoya (April 16, 1904 - December 15, 1957) was a Mexican character actor of Yaqui Indian heritage who built his career across both the Mexican and Hollywood film industries. He is best remembered for playing the bandit leader Gold Hat in John Huston's The Treasure of the Sierra Madre (1948) alongside Humphrey Bogart, delivering a line the American Film Institute ranks among the greatest movie quotes ever. Over his career he appeared in more than 175 Mexican films before his death at 53.
