Akio Otsuka (born November 24, 1959, Tokyo) is a Japanese voice actor, actor, and narrator whose deep baritone has made him one of the most recognizable voices in anime, video games, and Hollywood dubbing. He is best known as Solid Snake in the Metal Gear Solid series, Batou in Ghost in the Shell, and the title character in Black Jack. The son of veteran voice actor Chikao Otsuka, he has taken on several of his late father's roles. In April 2026 he became an independent freelancer after nearly four decades with Mausu Promotion.
