Akhlys is a black metal band from Colorado, USA, founded in 2009 by Naas Alcameth (Kyle Earl Spanswick), also known from Nightbringer and Bestia Arcana. The project began as a dark ambient solo endeavour rooted in Alcameth's lifelong experiences of sleep paralysis and hypnagogic phenomena, before evolving into a full black metal band. All four studio albums have been released through Debemur Morti Productions, with the 2024 fourth record House of the Black Geminus marking the band's most elaborate work to date.
Debemur Morti Productions released a reissue of the debut album Supplication (2009) on CD and vinyl with reworked artwork by Chthonie.
Akhlys completed the European tour Age of Phobetor, which included 15 performances in 10 countries.
The band announced a tour Age of Phobetor across Europe in October 2025 with support from bands Sisyphean and Fides Inversa.
Akhlys released the fourth studio album House of the Black Geminus on the label Debemur Morti Productions.
Akhlys performed at the festival Brutal Assault 27 in the Czech Republic.
