Adrien Brody (born April 14, 1973, Queens, New York) is an American actor who holds the record as the youngest Best Actor Oscar winner - a title he first claimed in 2003 for The Pianist and defended in 2025 for The Brutalist, making him one of only a handful of actors to win the award twice. Beyond film, he made his London stage debut at the Donmar Warehouse in 2024 and his Broadway debut in April 2026 in The Fear of 13.
Brody made his Broadway debut in The Fear of 13 at the James Earl Jones Theatre, where he performs alongside Tessa Thompson.
At the Red Sea Film Festival in Jeddah, Brody announced that since filming Brutalista, he has not accepted any new film roles.
Time magazine included Brody on the list of 100 most influential people in the world for 2025.
At the 97th Academy Awards ceremony, Brody won his second Oscar for Best Actor for his role in Brutalista, joining Spencer Tracy, Jack Nicholson, and other two-time winners.
Brody was nominated for the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actor for the London theatrical production The Fear of 13 at the Donmar Warehouse.
