Rakim Athelaston Mayers (born October 3, 1988, Harlem, New York), known as A$AP Rocky, is an American rapper, producer, and founder of the creative agency AWGE. He rose to prominence through the A$AP Mob collective and his acclaimed 2011 debut mixtape LIVE.LOVE.A$AP, going on to release four studio albums and accumulate over 25 billion total streams. Beyond music, he has built a parallel career as an actor, fashion figure, and co-chair of the 2025 Met Gala.
On January 16, 2026, A$AP Rocky released his fourth studio album Don't Be Dumb - his first studio album in nearly eight years - which debuted at number 1 on the Billboard 200.
In January 2026, he announced the Don't Be Dumb World Tour with 43 stops in North America and Europe, including a stop in Prague on October 4, 2026.
On February 18, 2025, a Los Angeles jury acquitted A$AP Rocky of two counts of assault with a firearm in connection with a 2021 incident.
In 2025, Rocky appeared in two A24 films - Highest 2 Lowest (directed by Spike Lee) and If I Had Legs I'd Kick You (directed by Mary Bronstein), which won a Golden Globe.
Rocky was appointed co-chair of the Met Gala 2025, creative director of the Ray-Ban brand, and new ambassador for the Chanel house.
