About

505 is a Berlin-based duo formed by Italian-German pair Daniel Calvi (guitar, synths) and Mattia Prete (live electronics), working at the intersection of trip-hop, electronica and jazz. The project is built around collaboration with guest musicians from across Europe and improvisation as its core creative engine. In 2024 they performed at the MJAF Nights during the Montreux Jazz Festival, and in February 2026 released their debut album True At First Light.
