Er ist bekannt für seine Auftritte im Horrorgenre, insbesondere in Beneath (2013), It Follows (2014), Don't Breathe (2016) und The Pope's Exorcist (2023). 2024 spielte er den Serienmörder Rodney Alcala im Kriminalfilm Woman of the Hour. Zovatto's Fernseharbeiten umfassen Hauptrollen in den Serien Here and Now, Penny Dreadful: City of Angels und Station Eleven.
