MUSEum+ at Colours of Ostrava 2026

Tours of blast furnaces No. 4 and No. 6 in Dolní Vítkovice before reconstruction.

Blast furnaces No. 4 and No. 6 in the centre of the Dolní Vítkovice industrial complex have stood unused since iron production ended in 1998. The MUSEum+ project - Industrial Museum in Ostrava - aims to transform this national cultural monument into a museum documenting the past, present and future of the industrial region, with opening planned for 2029.

Before reconstruction begins, Colours of Ostrava visitors can tour these buildings on a short guided walk and experience the authentic environment of the former ironworks. This is the last opportunity to see the blast furnace spaces open to the public before construction work starts.
