Duo Jamaha

Duo Jamaha (known as Duo Yamaha until 2014) consists of father Alfonz and son Marián Kotvan from the western Slovak region of Záhoří. They have been performing together since 2002, when the younger member completed his music school studies and his father sought a new musical partner after his previous collaboration ended. He decided to try working with his son, and the partnership proved successful.

Both play keyboards and sing, with Alfonz also performing on accordion and Marián on drums. Their repertoire includes Czechoslovak folk songs, contemporary pieces, and popular hits performed at entertainment events. They have received awards for their performances.

Since late 2012 and early 2013, they have hosted their own show on Šlágr TV, which brought them a growing fanbase. In an interview, both mentioned that they perform only in their spare time and maintain regular employment. The duo also appeared in the 2017 film Muzzikanti, where they performed alongside Martin Dejdar - according to iDNES.cz, this collaboration led him to consider a joint tour.
